Last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was very poor in terms of triathlon events. The supporters of this discipline will be happy to know that 2021 promises to be much more impressive in this respect. In just a few months we will witness two editions of the Enea Bydgoszcz Triathlon, as well as the Polish Triathlon Championships 2021 Elemental Tri Series.
This year as many as two editions will be held Enea Bydgoszcz Triathlon. First, a completely new edition of the competition will be held on 22-23 May, while the competitors taking part in the edition moved from July 2020 will compete on 10-11 July. Both events are part of the Enea Bydgoszcz Triathlon Cup series, within which the final result will be determined by the sum of times from two starts at given distances.
Both in May and July the participants will have traditional distances to cover: 1/8 (475 m swim, 21 km bike, 5.5 km run), 1/4 (950 m swim, 42 km bike and 10.8 km run) and 1/2 (1.9 km swim, 82 km bike and 22 km run). An interesting fact is that during the July edition there will also be a distance designed especially for amateur athletes. The Decathlon TRYathlon will consist of 240 m of swimming downstream, 19 km of cycling and 4.25 km of running.

Last Wednesday the registration for Elemental Tri Series 2021 Polish Triathlon Championships was launched. This year’s series of prestigious competitions will consist of two editions – the first one will be held on May 30th in Olsztyn, and the second one on August 29th in Białystok. The competitors will be able to choose from three available distances: supersprint (0.4 km / 10 km / 2.5 km), sprint (0.75 km / 20 km / 5 km) and Olympic (1.5 km / 40 km / 10 km).
Moreover, during each edition a tournament for children will be held. Especially with the youngest in mind, the Elemental Junior series was created, in which adepts will be able to try their hand at running at distances: 200m (1-6 years), 500m (7-8 years) and Aquathlon in two categories: Children (9-10 years old) at a distance of 0.1 km of swimming and 0.5 km of running, and Chews (11-12 years old) at a distance of 0.2 km of swimming and 1 km of running.
Participation in any of the editions of the Elemental Tri Series 2021 can be declared via the official website triathlonseries.pl. The entry fee depends on the chosen distance and ranges from 100 to 200 PLN for adults. The participation of children, regardless of their category, will cost 20 PLN.
