Burning body fat with the use of supplements arouses controversy. Meanwhile, it turns out that their use can significantly accelerate the process of losing weight.

Most companies that produce their supplements advertise them as a perfect solution for almost every ailment, especially for digestive processes, thanks to which you will be able to lose weight faster. Unfortunately, the case is quite different, even natural supplements can harm your body in excess, which is why you should be extremely vigilant on this point.

Human metabolism is a complicated system, which should be taken care of with special attention. However, there are particular elements of our daily diet that are indeed able to accelerate the fat burning process. It is worth noting, however, that for these “natural supplements” to work properly, you should also take care of other aspects of your functioning such as: regular sleep, stress reduction, routine physical activity, balanced diet.

Caffeine

One of the most popular substances is caffeine, which is found in coffee, green tea, but also cocoa beans. It is also very often used as a component of supplements whose task is to accelerate the fat burning process.

This is because caffeine has the advantage of speeding up metabolic processes, as a result of which they help burn more fat tissue than normal. According to research, this process can increase by up to 16% within an hour or two.

Green tea

Another extremely popular ingredient is green tea, or more precisely its extract. It is enough to achieve all the properties that we care about while shedding excess pounds. Such an extract can be purchased in both powder and capsule form. But you can also simply drink green tea regularly.

How does the extract work? The principle is very simple – rich in caffeine and the polyphenol epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG for short), it has chemical compounds that are responsible for speeding up metabolic processes – just like coffee.

Another point is that these two ingredients complement each other in the process of thermogenesis, which is the burning of body fat to release heat in the body. According to research, combining green tea with caffeine can increase calorie burning by up to an additional 65 units.

Soluble fiber

The last natural supplement that simply has to be mentioned are fibers, or more precisely, their two types: soluble and insoluble. The former absorb water in the digestive tract and then form a gel-like mass. This is interesting in that it reduces the appetite, as the stomach seems to be full. Soluble fibers increase the levels of so-called fullness hormones (PYY, GLP-1), so they reduce the feeling of hunger.

Soluble fiber can be purchased in capsules, as an extract, or taken directly from food:

  • legumes (e.g., peas)
  • oats
  • barley
  • fruits: plums, bananas, quince, pears
  • Flax seeds
  • Nuts
  • vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, zucchini, onions, and pumpkin

In addition to regulating intestinal lavage, soluble fibers help expel toxins, improve intestinal microflora, and lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels.
